The egg phospholipidsFresenius Kabi Sweden, Plant Brunna counts among the leading producers of pharmaceutical grade egg yolk phospholipids. Brunna develops and produces phospholipids for the pharmaceutical industry and the specialized food industry.

Our phospholipid production is certified in accordance with GMP and FDA regulations and conforms to the regulations on good practice in manufacturing and quality control of the World Health Organization and European Directive.

The phospholipids are extracted from egg yolk powder that has a composition that is carefully specified and controlled. The phospholipids are purified in our high technology purification facility. Virus validation studies have been done on the manufacturing process to assess the capacity to remove and/or inactivate viruses. The results guarantee a satisfying level of protection against any potential virus contamination.

The egg phospholipids, when frozen, are a white to pale yellowish powder. The standard package is 3 kg plastic bags. For every delivery, our Quality Assurance department issues a certificate according to the European Pharmacopoeia and/or the USP.
